“Slider Safari” Fundraiser at London Bridge Beach
River Cities United Way Announces “Slider Safari” Fundraiser at London Bridge Beach
Lake Havasu City, AZ — May 15, 2026 — River Cities United Way invites the community to gather for its first-ever Slider Safari, a family-friendly fundraiser taking place May 15 from 4–8 p.m. at London Bridge Beach.
The event aims to raise $20,000 to support nutrition assistance programs that help combat food insecurity across Mohave County. Held on National Slider Day, Slider Safari will bring the community together for an evening of food, entertainment, and awareness about local resources.
Attendees can enjoy more than a handful of options of sliders and sides served by local food vendors Sweet Breeze Crepes and True Eats. Students from Western Arizona Vocational Education District (WAVE JTED) will assist vendors to help keep food lines moving throughout the event.
The festivities begin with a special opening ceremony featuring the Marine Corps League Color Guard and a community Pledge of Allegiance.
Guests will also enjoy live music from Chuck E. Bumps and the Crocodiles, interactive booths hosted by six local nonprofit partner agencies, and opportunities to participate in both a 50/50 raffle and silent auction featuring items such as a snowboard, guitar, artwork, fragrance basket, and more.
Refreshments will be available throughout the evening, with adult beverages provided by Romer Beverage Company and soda and water sales supported by students from the Havasu Youth Advisory Council.
Event sponsor UniSource Energy Services will also present a live electrical safety demonstration, offering a unique and educational experience for attendees.
Slider Safari is made possible through the generous support of sponsors including Foothills Bank, Dot Foods, and UniSource Energy Services, along with numerous community volunteers.
Guests are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing like jungle explorers while enjoying an evening dedicated to strengthening the community.
“Events like Slider Safari bring our community together while supporting vital programs that help ensure families have access to nutritious food,” said leadership from River Cities United Way. “United is the Way we make a difference every day.”
